Going back to the point that there is so little data available on the platform about adverts and target markets, TikTok is still very much about the creative content and not about the stats. On the older platforms like Facebook, creating ads is all about the targeting and using the advertising toolbox to optimize your advert and campaign. The creative part of the advert is important, but not the most important.

On TikTok, things are quite different. There simply isn’t enough information to target effectively. Instead, you need to focus heavily on the creative that you put together and ensure that it speaks to your target audience. The emphasis is far more emotional and far less clinical.
